about the Mukilteo Food Bank
About our Board
Our board of directors lead by example, and provide leadership to our nearly 100 community volunteers. They are a conduit between the community, their clients, and with other food bank partners, providing valuable information for all parties involved in the food bank process. They work alongside volunteers to order, deliver, and distribute food items and other crucial products. The board provides oversight for the organization, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines as well as overseeing grants, donations, and other forms of support.

Mission and Vision

We are committed to providing food support for families in the Mukilteo community. Our purpose is to “feed and assist families by supplying nutritional food to anyone in their time of need, regardless of race, sex, age, national origin, disability, marital status, religion, creed, or sexual orientation.”
The Mukilteo Food Bank began as an informal food pantry in 1979 in the Mukilteo Presbyterian Church. In February, 2002, we incorporated as a separate non-profit organization, but are still located in, and work closely with the Presbyterian Church.
The Food Bank is an exceptionally efficient charity which collects and distributes well over 300,000 pounds of food each year to 22,587 individuals. We are the only “all-volunteer” food bank in Snohomish County and we work diligently to provide excellent assistance to those we meet. Our goal is to give service to our clients… with dignity, compassion, and kindness.
