Meet the Board of Directors
We would like you to meet the Food Bank’s Board of Directors. This group of people comes from many different walks of life. They have backgrounds that include project management, marketing, city government, Information Technology (IT), Boeing, and more. Though diverse, they share a common goal that connects them in a meaningful way. This Board shares a vision of ensuring that families in Mukilteo are not food insecure.
The Board oversees the mission and vision of the Food Bank, works with outside agencies to procure and oversee products that will benefit our families, and steers the management of the 100+ local volunteers. They partner with businesses and individuals regarding food drives, submit and manage grants, and schedule regular distribution days for their clients.
This management team regularly oversees purchases, stores items and distributes food stuffs. Each month they meet at least once, sometimes more, to review procedures and make adjustments to protocols that will increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our client process.
The Food Bank Board is an all volunteer team, as are the entire cadre of volunteers. Mukilteo and Darrington are the only Food Banks in Snohomish County operating with volunteers only.
